Toni Brunner
Toni Brunner ( born August 23, 1974 in Wattwil; homeland justified in Hemberg SG ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP) and farmer.
Professional career
Brunner is a farmer in Ebnat- Kappel. From November 2005 to January 2010, he was with Peter Weigelt shareholders today ipmedia services GmbH, operator of Radio buureradio.ch (Bauer Radio ), which sends a program tailored to farmers since 28 December 2005.
Toni Brunner was elected to the Swiss parliament elections in 1995 at the age of 21 years in the House of Representatives and re-elected in the elections of 1999, 2003 and 2007. His candidacy for the Senate in 2007 failed and was interpreted as a setback in his career. With 68'667 votes he landed in the second round of voting - behind the incumbent members, Erika Forster ( FDP) and Eugen David (CVP ) - relegated to third place, after he had lain in the first round before them. Since 1998, he chaired the SVP of the Canton of St. Gallen, and from 2000 to 2008 he was Vice President of SVP Switzerland. On 1 March 2008 Brunner was elected to succeed the retiring Ueli Maurer as new party president of the SVP Switzerland.
Waiver of immunity proceedings

Brunner is a member of the Commission for the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy, as well as in the Delegation for Relations with the Parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
