Toni Dahlman

Toni Dahlman ( born September 3, 1979 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the EC Graz 99ers of the Austrian Hockey League since 2011.

Career

Toni Dahlman began his career as a hockey player in the offspring of Karhu -Kissat, for which he debuted in the third division of Finland 1997. He then moved into the junior section of Jokerit Helsinki, for which he was employed in the top division for U20 juniors. During the 1998/99 season he made his debut in the SM- liiga for the men's team Jokerits. The season 2000 /01 he spent at Ilves Tampere, where he firmly belonged to the senior squad and 65 games completed in the SM- liiga, where he scored 28 points scorer. He was awarded as the best rookie of the Jarmo with - Wasama Memorial Trophy for this service.

He was then in the ninth round as a total 286 players selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 by the Ottawa Senators, for those in the National Hockey League, he stood from 2001 to 2003 for two years on the ice. Dahlman could not prevail in Ottawa, but was mainly in the American Hockey League for Ottawa's farm team, the Grand Rapids Griffins and Binghamton Senators, are used. Then, the attacker returned to Finland, where he first played a game while with his former club Ilves Tampere, and two more years with Jokerit Helsinki, where he began his professional career in 1998.

After another season in the SM- liiga in Lukko Rauma it moved Dahlman for the second time in his career abroad, when he played in the 2007/ 08 season in the Swedish Elitserien for Mora IK. In autumn 2008, Dahlman returned to his Finnish homeland, where he received a contract with the reigning champions Kärpät Oulu, with whom he 2008/ 09 re- Finnish runner-up was in season. In September 2009, he was obliged by HIFK Helsinki, for he completed seven games in the SM- liiga. In January 2010, he was taken from KalPa Kuopio under contract. There he was able to immediately earn a regular place, but the club already left again at the end of the season and joined for the 2010/11 season the Slovenian HK Jesenice of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. There, too, knew the Finn convincing, so he finally moved in January 2011 to the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. With Lower Saxony, he was at the end of the season runner-up.

For the 2011/12 season Dahlman returned to the Austrian Hockey League, where he received a contract with the EC Graz 99ers.

Internationally

For Finland Dahlman took part in the World Youth Championship 1998, where he became world champion with his team.
