Tonje Nøstvold

Tonje Nøstvold (born 7 May 1985 in Stavanger, Norway) is a Norwegian handball player. She plays at Norwegian club Byåsen IL and in the Norwegian national handball team.

Nøstvold started playing handball at seven years in Hundvåg. After the left-hander was then active for Sola HK, she moved in 2005 to Byåsen IL. With Byåsen she was in the 2007 final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, failed there, however, the Romanian representative CS Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea. From 2008 Nøstvold went for the Danish first division club FC Midtjylland Håndbold hunting for goals with which they won the 2011 EHF Cup and the championship. Since the summer of 2011, she goes back for Byåsen hunting for goals.

Nøstvold completed so far 179 games for the Norwegian selection. Together with the Norwegian team won in 2006, 2008 and 2010 European Championship. At the World Cup in France in 2007, she was Vice World Champion. A year later she won at the Olympic Games gold medal. It belonged to the squad of their national federation in the 2009 World Cup in China. They also took part in the World Cup 2011 in Brazil where Norway won the world title. In summer 2012 she participated at the Olympic Games in London, where he became Olympic champion. The Norwegian continued to participate in the World Cup 2013.
