Tony Burton
Tony Burton ( born March 23, 1937 in Flint, Michigan as Anthony Burton ) is an American actor.
Life
Burton had been with in 87 films and series. He is, among others in the series Kojak - Kojak, The Rockford Files - Just call, Quincy, TJ Hooker to see The A-Team, Airwolf or Twin Peaks. He became famous mainly in the role of Tony " Duke" Evers on the side of Sylvester Stallone in the Rocky film series. In the strip of hook he starred opposite Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams and Julia Roberts a minor supporting role.
Sports activities
- At the age of seventeen years, Burton was a successful football player in the All City and All Valley Team.
- 1955 and 1957 took part in the Tony Burton Flint Golden Gloves Boxing Championship. In 1957, he was an amateur champion in this class.
- From 1958-1959 Burton was a professional boxer. He finished his career with a record of 4 wins (2 KO) and 3 losses ( 3 KO's ).
