Tony Christopher, Baron Christopher

Anthony Martin Grosvenor Christopher, Baron Christopher CBE, FRSA ( born April 25, 1925) is a British businessman, politician ( Labour Party ) and member of the House of Lords.

Christopher began his career in 1957 in the financial management, most recently as General Secretary. Between 1974 and 1980 he was a member of the Tax Reform Committee, 1988/89 he was president of the Trades Union Congress. From 1983 to 2007 Christopher the International Confederation of Free Trades Unions belonged to. In 1984 he became a member of the Order of the British Empire in 1998 raised to life peer as Baron Christopher of Leckhampton in the County of Gloucestershire. In the House of Lords he was between 1989 and 1994 the Medical Council and the Audit Commission, in connection to 1997 and the Broadcasting Complaints Commission. Christopher has worked as a political and public relations consultant. He is married to Adela Joy Thompson.
