Tony Darrow

Tony Darrow ( born December 23, 1938 as Anthony Borgese in Brooklyn, New York, USA) is an Italian- American actor.

Tony grew up in a poor neighborhood in the east of Brooklyn and had as a child an excellent singing voice. As a teenager, he participated in several talent shows and won there also prices while he worked in various odd jobs. Since 1981 he has worked successfully as a known nightclub actor. After he had ten years of singing appearances in nightclubs, he landed a role in the movie Street Trash Trash offered and accepted. There he played the role of funny gangster Nick Duran. After Martin Scorsese saw his portrayal in the film Street Trash, he invited him to audition for a role in his film Goodfellas - Three decades in the Mafia. The audition proved to be rewarding because he was cast for a brief role as Sonny Bunz in the film. After that, he played in several Woody Allen movies with, such as Bullets Over Broadway, Mighty Aphrodite, Deconstructing Harry, Sweet and Lowdown and Small Time Crooks. In 1999, he got a larger role in the film Analyze This, together with Robert DeNiro and Billy Crystal. Also he got a bigger appearance in several episodes of the television series The Sopranos as mobster Larry Boy Barese.

In June 2009, Darrow was charged with extortion. In 2004, he had in common with a Soldato the Gambino family called Joseph " Joey Boy" Orlando and associate Giovanni "Johnny" Monteleone threatened and blackmailed a man who owed a loan shark money. Darrow pleaded guilty in 2011 and received a 33 - month sentence.
