Tony Dorigo

Anthony Robert " Tony" Dorigo ( born December 31, 1965 in Melbourne ) is a former English football player of Australian roots.

Life and career

Born in Australia, began his career in 1983 at Aston Villa. Dorigo played on the position of left-back. In 1987 he came to 475,000 pounds to Chelsea. In his first season for the Blues, he was honored by the fans as the best player of the team. After several disputes the Englishman was in 1991 thrown out of the squad for the London and changed the transfer fee of 1.3 million pounds to Leeds United, where he held the loyalty six years. After a year in Italy at the Torino Calcio, he played two more seasons with Derby County and one season at Stoke City.
