Tony Gallopin

Tony Gallopin (* May 24, 1988 Dourdan, Essonne département, Île -de -France ) is a French cyclist.

Tony Gallopin won a stage at the 2005 Swiss Grand Prix Junior race Rüebliland. In 2006 he was in the junior time trial second in the European Championships in Valkenburg and the French championship. The tour Liège- La Gleize he won two stages and finished third overall. At the Junior World Championship at Spa- Francorchamps Gallopin won the bronze medal in the time trial and road race respectively. In 2007 he was second in the French championship time trial of the U23.

Since 2008, Gallopin goes for international cycling teams, first for the French Continental team Auber 93 In 2010, he joined the Professional Continental team Cofidis, for his first success, he managed with a stage win in the Tour de Luxembourg in an international cycling race in the Elite range. In 2012 he moved to Luxembourg ProTeam RadioShack. His first success in a UCI World Tour race he reached at the Clasica San Sebastian in 2013 after he attacked 15 km from the finish of a 13köpfigen leading group and finished the race alone.

Tony Gallopins father, Joel Gallopin, and his brothers, Guy Gallopin and Alain Gallopin, who as a player has worked as sports director after the end of his career, were also professional cyclists.
