Tony Hawks

Anthony Gordon Hawks, Tony Hawks short, (* 1960 in Brighton as Anthony Gordon Hawksworth ) is an English comedian and writer. He achieved international fame through his book "With the fridge around Ireland " ( original title: " Round Ireland with a Fridge" ), in which he describes his absurd tour in the company of a refrigerator, which he takes for a bet.

Biography

Tony Hawks was educated at Brighton College. At first he tried to enter as a serious songwriter and singer in show business. As head of the trio Morris Minor and the Majors, he reached in 1988, number 4 on the UK charts with the rap parody " Stutter Rap ". The group sold 220,000 records and was number one in Australia.

Hawks occurs today as a stand- up comedian and is regularly seen in British comedy shows, including I'm Sorry I Have not a Clue, Just a Minute and Have I Got News for You. In addition, he had several roles in the series Red Dwarf.
