Tony Isabella

Tony Isabella ( * December 22, 1951 ) is an American comic book writer.

Life and work

Isabella began in 1972 as an editorial assistant for the Marvel Comics to work before he took over first engagements as a writer since 1973. As a result, he wrote for the series Ghost Rider, The Champions and Captain America, and he also contributed stories for the series Living Colossus which was published as a feature in the series Astonishing Tales, Luke Cage ( in Hero for Hire ) and Tigra ( in Marvel Chillers ).

In the later 1970s, Isabella began involvement in Marvel's rival DC Comics to take over: So he created - along with the artist Trevor From Eeden - 1977 with the figure of the superhero Black Lightning the first African-American character in DC's publishing program, in the center own ongoing series was made.
