Yes

The five musicians of the Yes - original lineup (Tony Kaye, guitarist Peter Banks, bassist Chris Squire, singer Jon Anderson and drummer Bill Bruford ) brought first two albums (Yes and Time And A Word ), as well as some singles. The second album an orchestra was used, which largely replaced the guitar and keyboard parts or note for note superimposed, which meant that banks got out of the band. 1971 published the third album The Yes Yes album with new guitarist Steve Howe. The first piece, Yours Is No Disgrace, was the first piece that mitkomponierte Kaye. But after the last concert of the year at the Crystal Palace Kaye was asked to leave the group. Personal and musical problems with Steve Howe and his rejection of all forms of synthesizers and opposite the Mellotron gave to the rash. Some of the songs of the next album Fragile has miteinstudiert Kaye, about the epic piece Heart of the Sunrise, the keyboard parts, however, were re-recorded from Kayes successor Rick Wakeman.

Dissatisfied with this situation, Anderson left after the subsequent tour, the band to record an album with the classic Yes line-up Bill Bruford, Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman.
