Tony Kett

Tony Kett ( born June 1, 1951 in Ballinasloe, County Galway, † April 19, 2009 in Dublin) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician and from 1997 until his death in Seanad Éireann senator.

Kett attended St. Joseph's College in Ballinasloe and later the College of Commerce in Rathmines, Dublin. In 1988 he was to occupy the vacant seat of Bertie Ahern in Dublin City Council, the Dublin City Council selected. He had resigned his mandate thereat due to his election as Taoiseach. 2004 could warp through the prohibition of the dual mandate should not be standing for election in the Dublin City Council since he was elected to Seanad Éireann in 1997 and 21 belonged to continue this.

November 2009 occupied his party colleague James Carroll Kett's vacant seat in Seanad Éireann new. Without dialing This was possible because the other parties waived their own candidates.

Kett was married and leaves a son and two daughters.
