Anthony Richard " Tony" Pulis ( born January 16, 1958 in Newport ) is a former Welsh football player and coach since November 2013 the English first division club Crystal Palace.

Playing career

His career began in 1975 at the Bristol Rovers, for whom he played with a brief interruption total of eight years. Pulis finished his playing career in 1992 in the third division with AFC Bournemouth, where he also took his first coaching job in the port. Overall, Tony Pulis completed 324 league games and scored nine goals during this time.

Coaching career

In 1992 Tony Pulis his work as a trainer for the English third division AFC Bournemouth, where he became the successor of Harry Redknapp. After two seasons in the lower third of the table of the Second Division his term ended in Bournemouth.

In 1995 he took over the coaching job at fourth division club FC Gillingham and reached with his team in the league. Stoke City
