Tony Sirico

Tony Sirico ( born July 29, 1942 in Brooklyn (New York City ), New York; Genaro Anthony Sirico actually junior) is an American actor of Italian descent.

Life

Prior to his career as an actor, Sirico was a career criminal and was the Colombo crime family close. He was repeatedly arrested for armed robbery, disturbing the peace and assault. For several raids on nightclubs in the late 1960s and drug possession, he was finally sentenced and sat from 1967 to 1968 and from 1971 to 1972 in prison. In the local theater group he discovered his interest in acting.

Sirico began his acting career with small roles in films like fingers - tender and brutal ( with Harvey Keitel ) and Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas - Three decades in the Mafia. In the 1990s he worked in five films directed by Woody Allen. Altogether he appeared in over 40 films and television productions.

In 1999 he had his biggest success in the role of Paulie Gualtieri mafioso, on the hit HBO television series The Sopranos. He settled contractually assure you that his character Paul Gualtieri is not a traitor in the course of the series.

Politics

Sirico has said of himself that he was a politically right-wing Republican. He donated money for the candidacy of Rudolph Giuliani 's presidential candidate of the Republicans.
