Toon Tellegen

Anthony Otto Hermannus " Toon " Tellegen ( born November 18, 1941 in Den Briel ) is a Dutch children's book author.

Life

Tellegen studied medicine in Utrecht. He first worked for several years as a doctor in Kenya, then settled in Amsterdam. He was first known for his poems, today he is one of the most famous authors in the Netherlands. In 1997 he was awarded the 60,000 Euro doped with Theo Thijssenprijs.
