Toquinho

Toquinho, Antônio Pecci Filho born ( born July 6, 1946 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian singer and guitarist. He is best known for his collaboration with Vinicius de Moraes.

Life

With 14 years of Toquinho Paulinho Nogueira began in guitar playing and supplemented this by a harmony with Edgar Janulo. In addition, he studied classical guitar with Isaias Sávio, orchestration with Léo Peracchi and was taught by Oscar Castro- Neves, with whom he was friends.

Toquinhos professional career began in the 1960s, when he composed his own songs and appeared in entertainment programs on the radio. The first recorded song was Lua cheia, which he wrote together with Chico Buarque, his first big hit Que Maravilha in 1970. During this time it comes to working with Vinícius de Moraes, which lasted until his death in 1980. Since then Toquinho working again increased as a soloist and with various musicians such as Paulinho da Viola, Danilo Caymmi, Paulinho Nogueira and Chico Buarque.
