Tor Bergeron

Tor Bergeron ( born August 15, 1891 † 13 June 1977) was a Swedish meteorologist who proposed a mechanism for the formation of precipitation in clouds ( Bergeron - Findeisen process).

The mechanism was developed in his doctoral thesis in 1928 and published in full in 1933. The experimental verification was done in 1938 by Walter Findeisen.
