Tord Wiksten

Tord Wiksten (* June 30, 1971 in Byske ) is a former Swedish biathlete and current team official Sweden.

Tord Wiksten lives in Torsby and trained in Östersund. Biathlon he operated since 1981. His home club is SK Bore. His first major appearance at an international event had Wiksten at the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville in 1992. In the sprint, he was 48th among the Swedish season to the next to him Ulf Johansson, Leif Andersson and Mikael Löfgren, he won Olympic bronze. In Oberhof he won in 1993 at his first World Cup competition as 20th in the Sprint's first World Cup points. Later he was in his first appearance at the Biathlon World Championships in Borovets season sixth. Shortly after, he had to stop due to a back injury almost two years. His comeback he gave in 1995 in Ostersund. Best World Cup result of Wiksten 2001 was a second place finish behind Raphael Poirée in Oberhof sprint.
