Torneo Argentino A

The Torneo Argentino A is one of two leagues at the third level in the league system Asociación del Fútbol the Argentine Argentino. The tournament will be contested by teams outside the space Buenos Aires and is divided into a group stage and a knockout stage.

As the top leagues was also the Argentino A divided by 2007 in a Apertura and Clausura system, so there are two championships per year were played. Since the 2007/ 08 season, the tournament lasts for a year.

Competition mode

First Phase

In the first phase, the teams will be divided into three zones, each with 8 teams. In each group, each 4 times playing against each other. This results in the entire 28 games for each team. Phase " Revalida "

The remaining 15 teams will be divided into 3 groups of 5 teams. There, everyone plays against everyone 2 times. Third phase
