Toronto is a city in Jefferson County, Ohio. The city (also known as Torontoans ), according to a census of 2000, 5676 inhabitants.

The area, then known as Newburg 's Landing, was first settled in the 19th century. The construction of the railroad tracks in the area Sloan station was renamed.
