Toronto Phantoms

The Toronto Phantoms were an Arena Football team in the Arena Football League. The headquarters of the association was Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Toronto Phantoms marked a futile attempt by the Arena Football League in the Canadian market to enter. The team that Rogers Communications was played in the seasons 2001 and 2002 and was subsequently dissolved.

All home games were played rock the National Lacrosse League at the Air Canada Centre, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League, the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association and the Toronto. The biggest rivals were the Buffalo Destroyers.

The logo of the Toronto Phantoms shows a Reaper, whose sense the word Toronto leads with the lettering printed above the phantom. The name was derived from the musical Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber, which was performed at the Canon Theatre in Toronto.
