Torotoro National Park

The National Park Toro Toro (Spanish Parque Nacional Toro Toro, Turu Turu Quechua mamallaqta parki ) is a small National Park in Bolivia between the eastern mountain ranges of the South American Andean Cordillera.

Geography

The National Park is located in the northern department of Potosí to the eponymous town of Toro Toro around 140 km south of Cochabamba and accessible only by dirt roads and river beds, with a journey time of seven hours in the dry season and much more in the rainy season, when the track sometimes even impassable will. The Toro Toro National Park covers 165 km ² and is located in a semi-arid landscape at an altitude 3500-2000 m, with canyons that are cut up to 300 m deep.
