Torrie Wilson
Victoria Anne Wilson ( born July 24, 1975 in Boise, Idaho) is a former American professional wrestler and photo model. She was active last until 2008 for World Wrestling Entertainment under the ring name Torrie Wilson.
Biography
Model activity
Prior to her wrestling career Torrie Wilson worked as a model, primarily for swimwear. In 1998, she won the modeling contest "Miss Galaxy". 2003 and 2004, Torrie Wilson was seen in Playboy, 2004 along with fellow wrestling Sable.
Wrestling debut and time in WCW
In February 1999, Wilson made his debut under the name Samantha in World Championship Wrestling. However, it soon disappeared again from the shows before it in May on the side of David Flair, her then-boyfriend, returned. Then she and David Flair involved in a storyline with David's father, Ric Flair. She disappeared again from the shows, and then returned to the side of her then husband Billy Kidman. Then she managed even Shane Douglas and later joined the Filthy Animals grouping consisting of Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko and Rey Mysterio. In 2000, Wilson was released from WCW.
WWE
Smackdown
In 2001, Torrie Wilson joined the WWE. In the course of that real takeover of WCW and ECW by the WWE and the resulting storyline of an alliance of WCW and ECW wrestlers against the WWE Wilson was used on the Alliance side. Later, she has predominantly been on the show Smackdown, where he had a long feud with Dawn Marie. From this it emerged as the winner. A more prolonged feud followed in 2003 against Sable. In 2004, Torrie Wilson and Sable fehdeten then side by side against Stacy Keibler and Jackie Gayda. This storyline was based on the common appearance of Wilson and Sable in Playboy. The feud ended at WrestleMania XX in a "Playboy Evening Gown " match, in which Torrie and Sable penetrated.
RAW
In 2005, Wilson moved to second weekly TV show WWE, RAW, where she was involved in feuds with Candice Michelle, Victoria, Ashley Massaro, Trish Stratus and Mickie James in different constellations. At Wrestlemania 22 in 2006, there was a "Playboy Pillow Fight" with Candice Michelle, who was the Playboy model of the WWE this year. Later it turned Torrie Wilson as part of a storyline relationship to the side of Carlito.
End of career
In the fall of 2006, she filed for divorce from her husband Billy Kidman. On 11 June 2007 Wilson was sent on the occasion of a cast change back to Smackdown. In April 2008, she gave in an interview with a Chinese television station her career end due to intense back problems and daily continuous therapy known. On 8 May 2008 her contract was terminated at the WWE on his own request.
