Torsion
Torsion ( derived from French and Latin ( torsion, late latin torquere after Latin, Tortum ) ) stands for issues that are associated with a ( inter) rotation:
- Winding ( geometry), the characteristic of a three-dimensional curve or surface, departing from the plane or a convex shape
- Torsion ( algebra), a phenomenon that can multiples of an element in a module equal to 0
- In differential geometry a property of affine contexts, see Levi- Civita connection
- Torsion ( mechanics), the effects of a parallel to the base and acting tangentially to the side surface of a body force
- In medicine, the twisting of an organ around its own longitudinal axis testicular torsion
