Torsion

Torsion ( derived from French and Latin ( torsion, late latin torquere after Latin, Tortum ) ) stands for issues that are associated with a ( inter) rotation:

  • Winding ( geometry), the characteristic of a three-dimensional curve or surface, departing from the plane or a convex shape
  • Torsion ( algebra), a phenomenon that can multiples of an element in a module equal to 0

  • Torsion ( mechanics), the effects of a parallel to the base and acting tangentially to the side surface of a body force
  • In medicine, the twisting of an organ around its own longitudinal axis testicular torsion
