Torul Dam

The Torul Dam ( Turkish Torul Baraji ) is a dam on the Harşit Çayı in Turkey. The shut-off, a 152 m high dam is 5 km east of Kürtün Reservoir.
The dam consists of a riprap as a support body with concrete slabs on the water side ( CFRD design) and a stove wall. The bedrock of tuff and limestone with basalt units was sealed with a sealing veil.
The hydroelectric power plant can generate 322 GWh of electrical energy with its two turbines, each with 60.75 MW capacity per year.
