Totchtawan Sripan

Tawan Sripan ( Thai: ตะวัน ศรี ปาน, born December 13, 1971 in Saraburi ) is a Thai football player who plays for BEC Tero Sasana in the Thai Premier League.

Career

He started his career at FC Tawan Raj Vithi before he moved to FC Bangkok Bank 1992. He played eight years and won all his titles with this club. He has been with the club three times champion, won the Thai FA Cup and the Queen's Cup. Biggest international success with the team was reaching the third place in the Asian Cup Winners Cup 2000. 2001 Tawan stepped up to a three year contract at the Sembawang Rangers in the Singaporean S-League before his friend Kiatisak Senamuang to Hoang Anh Gia Lai followed in 2006. Since 2006 Tawan is back in Thailand and plays since for BEC Tero Sasana in the Thai Premier League.

His first cap for Thailand in 1993, he played against Japan in the game for the qualification of the World Cup 1994. With the national team he won the 1995, 1997, 1999 a total of three gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games. The greatest success with the national team was on the one hand, the ASEAN Football Championship in 2000 and reaching the semi-finals at the Asian Games in 1998. In a friendly match in 2001 against Manchester United in Bangkok Tawan was in the squad. With a shot from about 20 meters, he scored the only goal for Thailand at the meeting, which was lost at the end with 1:2.

After the national team failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2010, he retired from international football. The last game in which he was aground for Thailand, the qualifying match against Oman on June 22, 2008. Thailand lost the game 1-2. The only goal scored for Thailand Tawan. On March 28, 2009, he was given by the Thai Football Association a farewell game. In this game went to a Thai selection against the national team of New Zealand.

In June 2009, he took over the coaching job at BEC - Tero Sasana, the club for which he had recently played and ended his career. It is his first stop as a club coach.

Tawan Sripan studied in his youth successfully completed the Rajabhat Institute of Technology in Nonthaburi.
