Toupée

Toupees (from Old French to (u ) p for tufts of hair ), commonly referred to as Fifi, are half wigs or hair replacement parts which are used for concealing partial baldness. Most are custom-made hair pieces that are worn mainly by men with face or balding.

Originally the term referred to a toupee hair fashion from the second half of the 18th century, one generated by backcombing or down cushions and consolidated by pomade quiff.
