Tour de Pologne
The Tour of Poland ( in the media officially called Tour de Pologne, Polish Wyscig dookoła Polski ) is a stage race in the road cycling. It usually consists of seven or eight stages and launched for the first time on September 7, 1928 in the Polish capital Warsaw. Since it is discharged from 1952 every year, it is the most important competition of its kind within Poland dar. Until the early 1990s, however, were only amateurs allowed; this meant that there was almost only local winner. The Tour of Poland 2005, however learned after the organizational takeover by the Polish entrepreneur and former professional cyclist Czesław Lang a huge appreciation by the inclusion in the racing calendar of the so-called UCI Pro Tour. Since 2011, the race is part of the follow-up series UCI World Tour.
