Toyger

The Toyger is a domestic cat breed that is supposed to represent a small tiger (of toy tiger, Toy Tiger ).

History

In the late 1980s, Judy Sugden began to create a cat whose color and pattern corresponds to those of the tiger. To this end, they had to step up and change so that the belts run closed down the body and also in the face and are available at the temples, the Mackerel Tabby. The basis for their breeding program of the Bengal cat Millwood Rumpled Spotskin and the domestic cat Scrapmetal. 1993, there was the Indian street cat to Jammu Blu, who had not the regular tabby stripes but points between their ears. From this year the Toyger by TICA registered in the stud book and admitted as a new breed of exhibitions from 2000. The full recognition at the TICA was issued in 2007. To date (July 2009), nor any other organization recognized the Toyger.

Appearance

The Toyger is a designer cat. It is a medium-sized domestic cat that resembles the big cats in the drawing, the type, self-confidence and the movements. The head is long and wide. The ears are round and small. The eyes and just sit deep in the skull. The chin is very strongly developed. The nose is long and wide. The body is medium, long and muscular. The shoulders can interrupt the topline. The chest is broad. The legs are of medium length, equal length front and rear. The distance to the ground body is the same size as the body height. The paws are big. The tail is very long and has a rounded end. The bones are very large, the cat is never dainty. She is very muscular and athletic. As color only brown tabby mackerel is recognized.

Future
