Toyin Adewale-Gabriel

Toyin Adewale -Gabriel (born 1969 in Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria ) is a Nigerian poet.

Life

Toyin Adewale studied English and literature; Obafemi Awolowo University of Ile- Ife in she was awarded the academic degree of Magistra (MA).

In addition to the Nigerian audience, she presented her works in South Africa, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the United States of America. For her poetry and short prose, she received several awards.

Toyin Adewale also works for Nigerian newspapers as a literary critic. In 1991, she founded the organization Women Writers of Nigeria.
