Toyota Allion

As the successor of the imported from the USA Toyota Cavalier 2001 Toyota Allion joined at the official successor. Unlike its predecessor, the new model was equipped with modern features and a better equipment.

Model Overview

First generation

More than a year after the revision of the concept unsuccessful Toyota Cavalier, Toyota presented on 25 December 2001, the new Toyota Allion. Sister model was the Toyota Premio. The only change was followed on 20 December 2004 with the amendment of the bumper and taillight designs. With the conversion Toyota put now only an LED light systems.

The following engines were available:

  • NZT240 ( 2WD): 1NZ -FE with a displacement of 1500 cm ² and an output of 80 kW ( 109 hp )
  • ZZT240 ( 2WD): 1ZZ -FE with a displacement of 1800 cc and an output of 97 kW ( 132 hp )
  • ZZT245 (AWD): 1ZZ -FE with a displacement of 1800 cc and an output of 92 kW ( 125 hp )
  • AZT240 ( 2WD): 1AZ -FSE with a displacement of 2000 cc and an output of 114 kW ( 155 hp )
  • AZT245 (AWD): 1AZ -FSE with a displacement of 2000 cc and an output of 112 kW ( 152 hp )

Second generation

With a new character, the second generation model went on 4 June 2007 in series production. Although the body of the model was not changed, the new generation of models has a larger interior and again a higher standard than its predecessor.

The following engines are available:

  • A15 ( 2WD): 1NZ -FE with a displacement of 1.5 liters and an output of 81 kW (110 hp)
  • A18 ( 2WD): 2ZR -FE with a displacement of 1.8 liters and an output of 100 kW ( 136 hp )
  • A18 (AWD): 2ZR -FE with a displacement of 1.8 liters and an output of 92 kW ( 125 hp )
  • A20 ( 2WD): 3ZR - FAE with a displacement of 2.0 liters and an output of 116 kW ( 158 hp )

On September 2, 2008 Toyota added the A15G to the model program. This is merely a sport package disguised A15 model.
