The Toyota Center is an indoor arena in the U.S. city of Houston, Texas. It mainly serves as a venue for the Houston Rockets (NBA ), but it can also find concerts.
History
The arena was built at the urging of the Houston-based sports clubs in 2003, replacing the now converted into a church Compaq Center. The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota secured before the opening of the naming rights.
The capacity is 19,000 seats, but varies depending on the event. During the first year more than 1.5 million people visited the Toyota Center.
2013 made the NBA station with the All- Star Game at the Toyota Center. The West defeated the East 143:138. For the NBA season 2012/13, the arena received a new rectangular video cube. It is the largest of its kind in an event hall in the United States.
