Toyota K engine

The Toyota K series was a family of engines from gasoline engines, which was produced in different stages of development from 1966 to 1998.

There were 4 - cylinder 8- valve OHV engines with low-mounted camshaft and bumpers. K all motors were the inlet and outlet on the same side. The engine block was made ​​of cast iron and the cylinder head in light alloy. The crankshaft had 5 main bearings.

K

The OHV 1.1 L ( 1077 cm3) K was produced from 1966 to 1969, the KB version with dual carburetors 1968 until 1969. The engine was installed in the Toyota Corolla KE1x.

2K

The OHV 1.0 L ( 993 cm3) 2K was produced from 1969 to 1988. His power was 34 kW at 5600/min, maximum torque 66 Nm at 4000 rpm. The 2K was used in both the Toyota Publica as well as Toyota Starlet KPx.

3K

The OHV 1.2 L ( 1166 cm3) 3K was built from 1969 to 1977. The bore was 75 mm, the stroke of 66 mm. 1969 there was a version with 2 carburetors (3K -B). It was built more versions like the 3K -C and the 3K -H. The engine was in the models Toyota Corolla, Toyota Starlet, Daihatsu Charmant and Toyota Kijang.

4K

5K

The 1.5 L ( 1496 cm3) 5K was produced from 1983 to 1991. 7K

The 1.8 L (1812 cm3) 7K was produced in 1983. The bore was 80.5 mm and stroke of 87.5 mm. The engine was installed in the Toyota LiteAce KM20 and the Toyota Kijang.
