Tracedawn

Tracedawn is a melodic death metal band from Finland, founded in 2006 by Tuomas Yli- Jaskari. The band was previously called Moravia.

Band History

By Internet Tuomas Yli- Jaskari had a group of young talented musicians found in the summer of 2006, with whom he recorded a demo titled Path of Reality still under the band name Moravia. This demo came across a number of very positive reviews and caught the attention of several record companies. The end of 2007 they decided on the band name Tracedawn signed a contract with Redhouse FMP and started to record their first official release. It seemed an EP with four songs. On 19 March 2008 their first album was released in Finland Tracedawn also under Redhouse FMP. On 22 August 2008, it was released in Europe by Drakkar Entertainment.

In 2009 they had their second studio album Ego Anthem, which she had recorded with producer Janne Joutsenniemi. End of September 2009 launched Tracedawn their first European tour in support of Ensiferum. In January 2011, the paths of Tracedawn and singer Antti Lappalainen parted. After a long search, Niko Kalliojärvi (Ex - Amoral ) was announced as the new singer who will but accept only the Growlparts. For the clean vocals guitarist Tuomas Yli- Jaskari now has jurisdiction. The first album with the new lineup was announced for February 2012, and Lizard Dusk is hot.

Style

Tracedawn plays hard metal, but nevertheless has many melodic elements. Remarkable are the high technical skills of the artists, as they learned their instruments in childhood. According to statements of the band they were influenced by a lot of bands in this genre.
