Tracks Per Inch

Tracks Per Inch (English: tracks per inch ), short tpi, is a unit of the track density, which is used for example in information technology. This indicates the number of (data) tracks per inch on a disk, but such as floppy disk 96 tpi and record industries ( see, eg, wax cylinder ( wax cylinder ) ).

A Double Sided High Density 3.5 " floppy disk has 135 tpi.
