Tragedy (band)

Tragedy is a modern American hardcore punk band from Portland, Oregon, which was founded in 2000 in Memphis (Tennessee), among others, members of From Ashes Rise and His Hero is Gone -resolved band founded.

The band's music is characterized by a hard punk sound, which is often interrupted by melodic intermediate parts and speed reductions. Even if they are mostly geared to these musical roots they have partially innovative ways that lead to a special, new kind of hardcore. Great influence on the band had mainly D- beat bands such as Discharge.

Currently Tragedy has a very high reputation in the DIY hardcore scene. Nevertheless, the band members try not to stand in the spotlight, so has the band to date, no official website and booklets contain very little information about the band. This already leads almost to a mystification of the band.
