Train (Band)

Train is an American alternative band, founded in 1994 in San Francisco. Their style of music consists of country, rock and other genres.

Band History

The band was founded in 1994 in San Francisco by Rob Hotchkiss and Patrick Monahan. After they had decided to form the duo a full band, came Jimmy Stafford on guitar, Charlie Colin on bass and later Scott Underwood added on drums. In 1997, Train as the opening act with the Barenaked Ladies and Counting Crows on tour. Their first successful song was in 2001 Drops of Jupiter ( Tell Me ) that the awards for Best Instrumental Arrangement Best rock song and won with vocal accompaniment, among other things at the Grammys 2002.

End of 2009, the fifth studio album was released with the name of Save Me San Francisco. The first single was called Hey, Soul Sister, reaching top positions in the international charts. As of July 16, 2010 she went with John Mayer on tour through the United States and Canada. In the 11th episode of the 6th season of CSI: NY came the band a guest appearance, where their single Hey, Soul Sister played eg in a studio. The singer Patrick Monahan was there one of the main suspects. The episode in which, among other things, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Minnillo LaLa Vasquez or had a guest appearance, first aired on 22 November 2010 to ORF 1. At the end of the episode, which bears the title Roll Over, the band also played nor its published in 2003 Single Calling All Angels. Also in the series 90210, Season 4, Episode 18 Train has a guest appearance. On April 17, 2012, the sixth studio album was released with the name California 37 The first single Drive By has been previously published.
