Transaction Application Language

TAL ( Transaction Application Language) is a programming language that was developed in the mid- 70s of Tandem NonStop system as a low-level language for their highly-available computers.

TAL has a syntax that is similar to C, and sometimes also to Pascal, with specific language elements for client - server architectures. TAL has been directly optimized for RISC processors used and replaced on the implemented platforms, the assembler languages. TAL is now maintained by Hewlett -Packard.
