TransAsia Airways (Chinese复兴 航空, Pinyin Fuxing Hángkōng ) is a Taiwanese airline based in Taipei.

History

The airline was founded in 1951 and is therefore one of the first private and civil- operating airlines in Taiwan. The Chinese name of the airline translates as " The airline that restores the glory ." This refers to the conflict between the two States Republic of China and People's Republic of China. In 1958, TransAsia Airways flight operations, but existed as a business agency further and also got into the catering business with a. 1988 flights were carried out for the first time, in 1991 came the first European ATR 72-500 fleet.
