Transmitter power output

The transmission power is the power in watts of a transmitter or dBm.

For the transmission power, there is no standard definition: it is defined

  • As the power drawn by the transmitter means,
  • Than the output power of the power amplifier ( transmitter output power ) or
  • Than the radiated power relative to a reference antenna in the form of ERP, or EIRP EMRP.

By measurement results in the transmit power of a band-limited signal as the integral of the power spectral density or the RMS value.
