Traona

Traona is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2578 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Sondrio in the Lombardy region. The community is located about 27 kilometers west of Sondrio. The Adda forms the southern boundary of the municipality.

History

In which time the first settlements arose in the community, can not be determined with certainty. First settlement findings point to the antiquity. However, the grave mound in the community can be dated to the fifth century AD.
