Trasquera

Trasquera is a municipality with 212 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Verbano -Cusio -Ossola (VB ), Region Piedmont. The population has decreased steadily in recent decades, in 1911 the community had about 1,000 inhabitants, in the 30's still 700 inhabitants.

The neighboring municipalities are Bognanco, Crevoladossola, Domodossola and Varzo.

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 1,100 m above sea level, where the border village of Demoiselle is situated at only 629 m above sea level. In Demoiselle is also the station of the municipality. The municipality covers an area of 39 km ².
