Travis Pastrana
Travis Pastrana ( born October 8, 1983 in Annapolis, Maryland, United States) is an American Motocross and Freestyle Motocross pilot and multiple masters and multiple gold medalist at the X Games.
Motocross
His first bike, a Yamaha PW 50, he got at the age of three years. He quickly became famous and discovered at an early age his joy in Freestyle Motocross. In the X-Games in 2006, he managed to land the first man to double backflip on a motorcycle. This stunt set in Freestyle Motocross is a similar sensation as it once was on the 900 Tony Hawk skateboarding in the case.
The Red Bull X -Fighters finale on 27 July 2007 in the bullring of Las Ventas in Madrid was the last FMX event where Travis took part in front of his temporary withdrawal from motocross. He won there again.
Only three years later he celebrated with a victory at the X-Games XVI his comeback in freestyle motocross. The remarkable thing was that he was certain as the winner before his third run and it did not loose anyway, this crown for the fans with a double backflip, which he showed after 2006 for the second time in a competition.
Rally
In the X-Games in 2006 another talent of Pastrana also came to light: In the category of rally he sat down next to Colin McRae a major role by building enormous pressure on the Scots with a hitherto superior time of and in an error McRae thus resulted in the success Pastrana. Although experts had long been known that in rallying he had a future, so he was in front of the Race of Champions team of U.S. and participants in various rally competitions, but this was the first public appeal triumph in this sport. In the United States, he belongs to the elite, since he won the national title in 2007. A highlight was the participation in the WRC Rally of Great Britain the same year.
At the turn of 2009/10 he jumped with subsequent landing in a Subaru Impreza in Long Beach (USA) set a new world record (82 meters) - previously the world record was for a jump followed by landing at 52 meters.
By late 2010, Pastrana drove for the Subaru Rally Team USA, including Rallycross race. As earlier on the bike he always preferred the starting number 199
2011 should Pastrana in NASCAR Nationwide Series eleven races of the season for the Toyota team Pastrana - Waltrip Racing dispute on the side of Michael Waltrip, in which he had purchased in late 2010. This, however, it was not possible due to an injury at the X Games XVII.
2012 travels Pastrana as Dodge factory driver a 500 -hp Dodge Dart four-wheel drive in the U.S. Global Rallycross Championship ( GRC), under which he will also participate in the X Games 18 in Los Angeles.

Pastrana is represented in the numerous Crusty movies, and there was even a video specifically about him titled Revelation of 199. In addition, he has been in the place with his colleague Gregg Godfrey his own film series Nitro Circus, he and friends from different sports to flaunt their skills. Early June 2011, Pastrana took his girlfriend, the skateboarder Lyn -Z Adams Hawkins, during a show of Nitro Circus proposed marriage to this supposed.
