Trboušany

Trboušany ( German pommel ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers southeast of Ivančice and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Trboušany is located on the right side of Jihlava in the northwest of the Thaya Schwarza Valley. To the west stretches the forest area Krumlovský les. To the northwest rises the Kobyla ( 355 m).

Neighboring towns are Dolni Kounice in the north, Mělčany in the northeast, and Pravlov Němčičky in the east, and Kupařovice Malešovice the southeast, Loděnice in the south, Jezeřany - Maršovic the southwest, Durdice and Moravian Krumlov in the west and Bidkovice and Nové Bránice in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds evidence of a settlement of the area to the Paleolithic. At this time won in Krumlovský les Hornstein.

The first written mention of belonging to the possessions of the monastery Rosa Coeli village pommel was made in 1537. The site was created by German settlers and was a purely farming town. Over time, came next to agriculture nor the wine of nutrition source added. After the fall of the monastery pommel was subservient to the middle of the 19th century the reign Kanitz. Owners were the princes Dietrichsteinplatz and after the extinction of the Counts of Herbersteins.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed pommel / Trbušany 1850 a municipality in the district team Auspitz. From 1880 it belonged to the district of Brno. In 1921, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Brno- venkov. The German inhabitants were expelled after the Second World War. Between 1948 and 1960 Trboušany belonged to Okres Rosice. After its cancellation Trboušany came back to Okres Brno- venkov. The community performs a coat of arms and banners.

Attractions

  • Neoclassical belltower, at kindergarten, built in the 19th century. In 1998 the building was renovated.
  • Statue of St. John of Nepomuk, next to the bell tower. The simple and painted figure is probably the work of local residents. It has little artistic qualities.
