While Uno ties in with the punk rock sound of the early Green Day albums and Dos more oriented towards the rougher garage rock, Tré tends to the sound of stadium rock.

Criticism

Laut.de also awards for the third part of the trilogy, two out of five stars:

" Well that ends well? By no means: for even if " Tre! " stands out in comparison to the two predecessors, draws the 2012er third album of the band, compared with " American Idiot " - or " Dookie " exploits, over long distances the short straw. Although probably every other middle-class punk rock outfit have ausgesorgt with similar material for the next five years, for a band with such a rich back catalog like Green Day, the one by more than 60 million records sold, just have different yardsticks, the Displayed simply too little "

For Plattentests.de stands out from the otherwise " hard to digest " album, which gets four out of ten, only Dirty Rotten Bastards positive out:

" In about six minutes Green Day series there song fragment to fragment song without stopping long with a melody or a riff. What has worked to " American Idiot " and "21st century breakdown " does to " ¡ Tré! " the freshest impression and the most fun, including tempo changes, bollernden Bass Breaks and anthemic choruses. [ ... ] " ¡ Tré! " so that answers some of the questions that " ¡ Uno! " posed, quite clearly: No, Green Day can not write 37 good songs at once. And yes, three albums in 111 days (according to the original plan, in the end there were only 78 because " ¡ Tré! " Was brought forward by one month ) to publish is therefore more megalomaniacal than ambitious. "
