Treasure of El Carambolo

The Tesoro del Carambolo (German: Treasure Carambolo ) is one of the largest custodian finds of gold objects from the European Bronze Age in Spain.

Was discovered the treasure on September 30, 1958 in El Carambolo, 3 kilometers west of Seville. The discovery of the treasure increased the scientific interest in the Tartessos culture. Some researchers locate the treasure, however, to the culture of the Phoenicians.

The treasure consists of 21 gold objects. The hoard is located in Seville 's Archaeological Museum.
