Treatment Action Campaign

The Treatment Action Campaign (TAC ) is a Zackie Achmat founded on December 10, 1988 South African non-governmental organization, almost all members work as volunteers in the. She is advocating that all AIDS patients will be helped. The main concerns of the TAC are intensive educational work and the struggle for affordable medicines for HIV -positive people in South Africa.

Currently TAC has 72 permanent employees and 16,000 volunteers who organize themselves into 267 local groups.

TAC is a partner of Bread for the World and supported by Ashoka.

On 30 August 2006, the New York Times TAC referred to as "the world's most effective AIDS group".
