Treaty of Breslau

The Truce of Wrocław ended on June 11, 1742 in Breslau the First Silesian War between Prussia and Austria. This preliminary peace was confirmed on July 28, 1742 Treaty of Berlin.

History

After the lost battle at Chotusitz decided the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa, in order not to split their forces in the War of Austrian Succession, for peace with the Prussian King Frederick II The negotiations come through the mediation of the British ambassador Lord Hyndford about, Prussia led the Minister Heinrich Graf von Podewils for Austria and the Imperial Privy Councillor Baron Karl Joseph von Gillern (since small quick- village).
