Treaty of Seville (1729)

The Treaty of Seville ended on November 9, 1729 formally the English- Spanish War ( 1727-1729 ). He came under the mediation of the French Minister André- Hercule de Fleury. It was preceded by the conclusion of a preliminary peace on May 31, 1727 Paris, which ended the fighting in Europe and the Convention of Pardo on 8 March 1728 which ended the maritime and trade war overseas to an end. The status quo ante was restored. Spain confirmed once again so that the British possession of Gibraltar and Minorca, while Britain assured in return to support the establishment of a Sekundogenitur for Don Carlos, the son of the Queen of Spain.
