Trebellianus

A certain Trebellianus is proclaimed in Isauria in the south of Asia Minor to the Emperor under the sole reign of Gallienus ( 260-268 ), but defeated by Gallienus and have been killed. All figures are obviously fictitious. Coins, which is said to have coined the usurper, have not been found.

Trebellianus is mentioned except in the Historia Augusta only in Eutropius. It is believed today that Trebellianus has either not exist or not a usurper was. Also confusion with Regalianus is not excluded. In recent literature, the name no longer appears.
